Service Description

The most pertinent action to pursue when considering a whole, half, or quarter of an animal to feed your family or friendly tribe is education on the anatomy of the desired animal in order to execute proper cuts and preparation. This is important because it will be much more valuable if we can provide you with cuts that will be enjoyable to cook and eat. For example: There will always be trim pieces that will end up in a ground/minced preparation with any whole animal butchery process and it is a necessary item to address. Butchering a quarter of a steer can produce upwards of 20-30 lbs of ground beef, and 10 lbs of pure fat that may be rendered into tallow regardless of preparation. This is great news if you love ground beef, however that is without taking whole muscles such as chuck to grind into our homemade hamburgers or sausages. Point is... the ground beef, pork, or lamb adds up quickly as a percentage of the whole animal! Keep this in mind during our protein consultation.
